LSC-Adult Literacy Drives

ABOUT THE DRIVE

Literacy is the brigde between misery and hope, and here under the banner of Adult Literacy drive, we are aiming to bridge the same gap. The house keeping staff of GNLU is an integral part of the campus and via the medium of Adult Literacy Drive we aim to provide assistance to these members of our GNLU family. 

HOW IT WAS CONDUCTED 

Every Saturday and Sunday, the volunteers dedicate one hour to help the Uncles and Aunties who help everyone on campus. The drive's objective is to make them independent. LSC's Adult Literacy Drive deals with every step in this direction right from teaching them to read room numbers, writing their names, and reading the roadsigns, the documents such as Aadhar cards, and PAN cards. The drive also teaches the staff how to handle a smartphone, how to open a bank account, how to apply for a government scheme, what are their basic rights, and legal and multitudinous other things to make them more independent and aware.
